Africa Project

Mrs. Hall's trip to Malawi has been an inspiration to us all so we decided to dedicate two weeks after the October holidays to an Africa project.

All the classes participated in art and music activities. We found out information about Malawi and other African countries. We also had visits from Storytellers, Gum Boot Dancers and an African Drummer!
Fantastic!
HI there! I thought Africa week was ok and I had a lot of fun doing art work and I also thought that learning about the second largest continent was quite intresting!

HI I am in p7 and I enjoyed Africa week a lot. We got to do lots of art which I really enjoyed and I liked the workshops we got to take part in, including the Gum Boot Dancers and the drumming session.

In my class we  made some mud paint and painted African pictures with it.

It was so coool! They were like Mali mud paintings.

Our teacher made a 'rug' with them and displayed them on the wall.

Mrs. hall made a real rug with a Malawi flag and Scottish tartan. Each class made a fabric painting which she sewed onto the rug.
